Steve Hatch would like estimates on repair of the barn, machine shed
skylights and a downspout, and a new garage. The barn was slighty twisted from a
tornado that went nearby last April 9th.
The barn lost quite a few wooden shingles leaving holes in the roof. Steve would like a quote on a steel roof for the barn. Would it be
possible to give an estimate for the top part to the first bend only and a
second estimate
for the whole roof? The barn base measures 32.5' by 40.5'. You will probably need exact measurements for an accurate quote but you are welcome to give an estimate from the photos.
Quote 1) top part only to first bend. Quote 2) Steel for whole roof.
Steve has not settled with the insurance company yet and will need these
estimates before he does.
South Side
West Side
Minimal damage on west side except for some shingles
|
Quote 3: North side needs 8 boards 16' x 1' x 3/4" plus batts. That would cover boards that blew out and rotted ones still attached. No door is needed on north side. Frame around former door is rotted.
|
North side: Base board and uprights are rotted or chewed out. & Steve would like the red tin
to left side of the former doorway saved as is if possible.

|
Quote 4: South Side: 2 of the 3 lower doors were blown open and damaged. 1 haymow entry door was also blown in and damaged.
Steve would like a quote on replacing
all 4 doors.
Haymow entry door Right lower door

|
South side continued: Left lower door Middle Door

|
One other thing about the roof: East Side has a buldge that was there before the storm. Would it need to be repaired for the new steel roofing to hold?

|
Need a Quote 5 on replacing 2 skylights on the south side roof of the machine shed.
One skylight is completely missing, the other is cracked.
They were made of corrugated fiberglass to let light in.

|
Need a Quote 6 for a new garage. Old one was 16' x 20'. Steve would rather get
the barn roof repaired than the garage repaired or replaced at this time unless there
is enough insurance to cover both.
The west edge of the garage stretched out and moved off the foundation
by over a foot. East side probably also moved but doesn't seem to be
damaged. If there is not enough insurance coverage for a new garage,
Steve would be able to repair the tin roof if someone could move the
garage back onto the foundation.
