We are continuing our fundraising campaign for our two major projects of tuckpointing the church and the new heat system at the Parish Center.
Our goal is $60,000 for both projects.  To date we have
collected $48083.94.  Thank you so much for responding to this need with such generosity.  We have $11,916.06 to go to reach our goal. 
Please continue to pray about your gift and do what you can in support of the ongoing work and upkeep of our parish.

September marks the beginning of the 2010 Diocesan Annual Appeal, a campaign for funds that is so vital for the ongoing mission of the Church.  Soon you will receive a mailing from the Diocese seeking your
support for this year's Appeal. 

The Knights of Columbus will be having their annual
Tootsie Roll Drive Labor Day weekend before and after Church. The Proceeds all go to persons with Intellectual disabilities, which includes places such as the Howard Center and Special Olympics.

Fr. O'Reilly Scholarship applications are available in the parish office.  Anyone from the Sacred Heart Parish, who is attending a Catholic High School or college may apply.  The amount awarded depends on the number of applications received.  DEADLINE is August 30.

Vacation
Was a wonderful time.  Alaska is very beautiful, the inner passage way is so beautiful from a boat.  You can really appreciate the majesty of God.  The most fun of all was the group of priests I went with.  We had daily Mass and just relaxed and enjoyed each other.
