From Fr. John's pen:

DAA
Our goal is $6135.18 and we have all but $163 to go.  You can tell how it takes the whole parish.  Those who have not given can sure help us now to reach this last part.  When the DAA Drive is over each parish who has not met their goal will have to take it out of their general fund.

GO HAWKEYES
I'll be heading out this week on a 4:45 flight out of Omaha to Miami for the Orange Bowl on Tuesday.  Thanks to the recent terrorist attempt on a plane, I will likely have fun going through customs .  It should be a good time.  I am going with my brother Paul.  We plan to spend a day in the Everglades.  We will be back on Friday around noon.

Guild Books are ready.
You may find your copy on the table in the
vestibule. Guild dues are $10 for the year 2010.
You may leave your dues in the weekend
collection basket or give them to Joni
Tiefenthaler, Tracy Drey or Karen Blass.

We wish to thank Karen Pickhinke and Vicki Matthaidess for a job well done as guild
officers in 2009.

Larry and I would like to thank the Sacred Heart faith community for your many acts of kindness expressed to us in so many
beautiful ways this Christmas Season.
God's goodness shines through you and for that we have been blessed and are grateful.

The Lola Huelman Family of Schaller
celebrated Christmas in a unique way last week.  Instead of buying gifts for one another they purchased items for the Food Pantry.
A great idea worth sharing!

The snow storm created extra work for all.  Thank you to Wayne Pickhinke and Clyde Moore for
seeing to it that the parking lots and sidewalks were cleared in such a timely manner!
