The Sacred Heart Peace and Justice Committee would like to remind you that there is need for the following items for the food pantry:

Cereals, toilet paper, paper towels, pastas (all kinds), Helpers (all kinds)
canned meats and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, instant potatoes, rice,
spaghetti sauce, flour and sugar.  Please remember to check the dates we can not use outdated products!! Bring them to the Parish Center

Guild Books are ready.
You may find your copy on the table in the vestibule. Guild dues are $10 for the year 2010. You may leave your dues in the weekend collection basket or give them to Joni Tiefenthaler, Tracy Drey or Karen Blass.
If you have already picked up your book.  A revised copy of the 2010 schedule has been provided for you , please pick up your copy located on the table next to the guild books.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you purchased a poinsettia you are more than welcome to get it from the front of the altar.  We are using the poinsettia's to decorate the altar for another week or two, they really look pretty this year.
Feel free to take them after that.

Sac City After Five Club, (Christian Women's Club) invites the ladies to our "To Catch A Thief" SUPPER on Monday evening, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m., at First Christian Church.
The speaker is Jolene Philo, from Boone, IA., who's first child was born with a major birth defect. When doubt & fear threatened to steal her joy, she learned to "catch the thieves" and live joyfully in difficult circumstances.  Russ Hass of Sac City will talk about his wood art.
Cost is $7.00 which includes a delicious meal. Please call Loretta Ried
