Nemaha, Iowa 50567
Nemaha is a tiny town in northwest Iowa located equidistant between Sioux City and Fort Dodge (and locally between Storm Lake and Sac City) at the intersection of county roads M50 and D15.
The population is around 100 people, down from almost 200 recorded in 1914. It was platted in 1899 at the northwest corner of Section 22 in Delaware Township, Sac County, Iowa. The town incorporated in 1914 and has remained incorporated ever since with a very active city council who strive to keep the town alive and presentable. Nemaha Milling is Nemaha's largest employer serving all of the
surrounding area. They have been serving grain and livestock producers since 1975. Their modern State of the Art Swine Nutrition Center was built in 2003.

You can install the Schiltz Center Unload System in each of your bins and purchase only one power head and/or sweep auger as they can me moved from bin to bin. They also manufacture grain sweep tunnels and aeration equipment. The name of Nemaha is an Indian word meaning "muddy water". This was characteristic of the level land at the time since much of it was swampy. Telephones came to town about 1907 with a magnetic exchange that required a full-time operator. Electricity arrived around 1918.
