EXIT A small house on 3rd street that has sat for years behind the old bank building in Nemaha was sold to a farmer who wanted to place it on one of his farms. The preliminary preparations were hardly noticeable - some hedges cut away and snow pushed back. But the activity speeded up when some large equipment showed up early in the day on March 8th.Click on photo to enlarge |

By 9:00 am on the next morning, March 9, 2007, the house came around the corner and headed west on Main Street. A worker held the electrical wires up while the house slowly turned barely missing the stop sign. Last seen, it was headed north on M50. | |||
