These photos are from the book Surrounded by Tragedy, the story of
the first 40 years of Harold Launspach's life. He was the younger
son of Harry and Helena Launspach, and younger brother to Clarence
"Ike" Launspach. Harold lived in Lanesboro from 1905 until about
1918. Clarence lived in Lanesboro his entire life.

Harry returned to Lanesboro after his year's absence and was reunited with his two sons.
He also had met a woman with two children and brought his new wife and children to Lanesboro
