Each week a written prayer for our church will be included in the bulletin.

.

Prayer for week beginning March 7, 2010

Heavenly Father,

You are great and greatly to be praised. We honor and glorify you, our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer.

We thank you for the many blessings you have given us, none greater than the gift of your son, Jesus. We remember his life and ministry, the example He set, and the path He took. And we remember his tragic death. How grateful we are for his resurrection, when Jesus conquered death and made our salvation possible.

Focus our hearts on minds on repentance. Help us to examine our lives, finding the hidden corners where sins are pushed away and ignored. Let us reveal and confess our weaknesses – those things you already know – so we can become closer to you.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our savior. Amen.

Iowa United Methodists have sent the following kits to Haiti:  4,331 Health Kits, 146 Layette Kits & 50 School Bags

 Keep up the good work!!

We are asked to continue making the UMCOR kits, as more will be needed at a later date.  Instructions may be found on the church bulletin boards.  Thank you for your faithfulness.
