Nemaha's entry in the parade consisted of this large Ford tractor pulling over 14 small wagons to represent the businesses and organization in a "Mighty" small town. 1st Place Winner!

Russ Davis was one of the outriggers to help the long Town of Nemaha float navigate the streets. Two other volunteers also helped keep fourteen or more wagons in line while being towed by the huge blue Ford tractor.
Nemaha United Methodist Church, Wedeking Seeds, Homeland Co. Real Estate were in the float.

This is the end-view of most of the Nemaha, Iowa float - each wagon represents a Nemaha business or organization. (Photographer did not get pictures of side views of all the wagons as they zipped by.) Last photo of 1st Place Winner.
Wadsley Implement, former International Harvestor dealer, same float 1957. Lynn Smith (sitting on the float) rode in the same truck in 1957 during Early's 75th celebration when he was only 4 years old. The truck, formerly owned by his grandparents at the former Wadsley Implement Co., has been restored by Lynn.
