Saturday • August 8th:
Crossroads Day 2009 was held Saturday, August 8
Early's Crossroads Day 2009 was a fun night that was held on Saturday, August 8th. This celebration was not as large as others and the weather once again proved to be quite hot. The night was kicked off with a supper that was served from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The menu was quite tasty as grilled beef burgers or pork burgers, baked beans, chips, bar and a drink were served.
The Early Legion also hosted a Beer Garden that was open from 5:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Music was also provided from 8:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
The night ended with a raffle that was held and three prizes were given away. The prizes were: a 24 inch flat screen T.V., iPod and a navigation system. The winners were: Brooke Hoeppner of early, Jim Coon of Early, and Liz Prochelo from Sioux City.
The groups hosting the 2009 Early Crossroads Day were the Early American Legion, Crossroads Day Committee and the F.O.C.U.S. groups. It really takes a lot of hard work to plan a celebration no matter how big or small, so appreciation goes to all the committees! |
