2008 PhotosScenes and Activities from Crossroads Days 2008Crossroads Days 2008Although, it wasn’t nearly as large as last year’s Quasquicentennial Celebration, Saturday, July 19 was a nice day for friends and family to celebrate Early.
The morning started out with the 5K run. At 10:30 the big parade was held, followed by the kiddies' parade. Lunch was served by F.O.C.U.S. There was a slow-pitch softball tournament held all afternoon, the clown, who made balloon animals and hats and painted tattoos for anyone who wanted them, the children’s games, bingo, and the cake walk. The supper was catered by Lidderdale Country Store.
A rain put the damper on supper. However, it was moved to the basement of the Municipal Building. The rain also stopped the band that was to have performed. Thanks to Randy Franken, we still had music for the evening at the beer garden.
There are many thanks to be extended for the day. First and foremost is the group of dedicated individuals who spent many hours planning and working to make the day a success. Without them, there wouldn’t have been a celebration. So as not to miss anyone, let us say to everyone who helped or participated in a big or little way, thank you!
Thank you to Citizens 1st National Bank for furnishing the tent for the celebration. 2008 Schedule of Events
