B.B. and the BullfrogsThe current arrangement of BB and the Bullfrogs has together for over 4 years, with Brent and Tyler being together under the name for over 6 years. Over the group's history, many great things have been accomplished. Most importantly, the group has become very successful at performing their favorite music-- that from the 50's & 60's. Many people find it hard to believe that such young people could be playing such old music. Here's how they got into it:Brent's Grandpa, John Senn, has performed in bands all his life. Perhaps his most famous group was DJ & the Runaways. This group still holds the largest record sales in the state of Iowa with over 400,000 copies sold. They were also the only group from Iowa to appear on Dick Clark's "Where the Action Is". Brent grew up all his life listening to his Grandpa play oldies, and thus Brent's infatuation with the music began. When Brent was in 8th grade, he got a group together and performed Stand by Me for the 8th grade spring concert. After switching some people around and meeting another oldies enthusiest, Tyler Pedersen, the first version of BB & the Bullfrogs was formed. Since that time the group has been very successful. The current arrangement with Brent Brekke on lead guitar and vocals, Tyler Pedersen on bass guitar and lead vocals, and Mike Wiozeschke on Drums, has had a great tenure already. They have had the opportunity to perform at many locations including the Roof Garden in Arnold's Park, Green Space in Arnold's Park, opened for the legendary Do-Wop group The Diamonds, performed for presidential candidate Howard Dean, and have had the great opportunity to play at many of the wonderfull ballrooms and other venues all over the state of Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. The group also won a battle of the bands last summer at Estherville, Iowa. |
