The 2003 theme was "Mardi Gras".

There was a large crowd for the dances, the parade and the other activities. Several classes had floats in the parade. Softball games and other activities ran continuously.

Friday July 25th:

6:00 - 8:00 pm Kids games
6:00 - 8:00 pm Evening Meal planned by
    Schaller-Creatland Baseball Promoters
    followed by Complimentary Ice Cream
    Sundaes by Citizens 1st National bank
6:15 pm Kiddie Parade
6:45 pm Cake Walk
7:00 pm Queen Contest sponsored by
    Early Woman's Club
7:30 pm Coon River Retriever Dog
    Presentation
8:00 - 11:00 pm DJ with music by Randy
    Franken of Whiplash Entertainment
    Test your talents at karaoke
Beer Garden will be open 6:00 - 11:00 pm

The Schaller-Crestland cheerleaders helped with Crossroad Days by assisting with the children's activities.

Saturday July 26th:

There will be an all Day Softball tournament
    starting at 8:00 am
    Come sign up at the city ballfield.
7:00 - 10:00 am Cris Cakes Breakfast at the
    Legion Building on Main street featuring
    Pancakes with sausage and beverage
8:00 am 5K Run/Walk begins at the
    corner of Citizen's 1st National Bank
8:30 - 3:00 pm 2nd Annual Vintage Tractor
    Ride to Storm Lake and back
11:00 am - 1:00 pm Noon Meal for Crestland
     and Early alumni at Sacred Heart School.
    Stay and visit in air-conditioning till 4:00.
4:00 - 7:00 pm Horse Drawn wagon rides
    around Early
5:00 - 7:00 pm Evening Meal planned by
    the Woman's Club in the Municipal
    Building on Main Street
5:30 - 6:30 pm Civil War presentation of
    black powder shooting south of elevator
7:00 pm Parade, registration begins at
    5:00 pm at the Schaller-Crestland School

9:00 pm - 1:00 am Live Band Tequila Sunrise
    Raffle Drawing will be held during the dance
    for an overnight stay for two and breakfast
    at Royal Crown Plaza in Omaha.
    Need not be present to win.
Beer Garden will be open 6:00 pm - 1:00 am

Mardi Gras

There were many activites for children on Friday evening and Saturday along with concession stands offering Bloomin' onions, funnel cakes, sno cones and a few crafts. The ambulance helicoptor landed in Early Saturday afternoon and was open for public viewing.

There are few activities planned for Saturday afternoon due to the heat but the Crestland Reunion Committee rented the Sacred Heart School for the second day and invited the Early High School Alumni to join them for a catered lunch to be served 11:00 - 1:00. Guests stayed in the the air-conditioned gymnasium till 4:00 to chat with classmates and friends.
