News: Early is eagerly anticipating the new 4-lane Highway 20 being built just north of town. They have constructed a new, colorful watertower visible from the highway. Caseys will also expand and move closer to the highway bringing in additional traffic to the town.

Crossroads Days 2012

Early is celebrating their 130th Anniversary this summer 2012. Crossroads Days will start Friday evening, July 20th through Sunday morning, July 22nd. There will be a big tent set up on Main Street. Below is a tentative schedule of events for the fun-filled weekend. Check back for monthly updates.

Friday, July 20th:
TJ / Lisa Memorial Golf Tournament
7:00 pm - Little Miss Contest
Kiddy Parade
Evening Meal
DJ Entertainment

Saturday, July 21st:
8:00 am - Fun Run
9:00 am - Softball tournamant (runs all day)
10:00 am - Big Parade
Noon meal
1:00 - 3:00 Garden Tractor Rodeo
3:00 pm - Baby Contest
4:00 pm - Waterfights
All afternoon: Kid's Games, Bounce and Inflatables
5:00 pm - Meal
8:00 - Midnight Live Band
Fireworks will be held around 10:00 pm when the band takes a break

Sunday, July 22nd:
8:30 - 10:00 am Pancakes and games
10:00 am - Ecumenical Service under the big tent on Main Street

There will be a cash raffle of ten $100's awarded. Tickets may be purchased $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 at Shear Attractions, Carla's Maine Creations, Crossroads Restaurant, The Legion, or through any FOCUS volunteer.

An additional raffle will be held for 4 overnight stays at the new Boulder's Bay by Lake View.

School reunions are always a good way to reconnect with your classmates and other area friends during Crossroads Days. Currently Sacred Heart All School, Crestland Reunion, and Crestland Class of 62 are planning reunions. Email us if your class is planning a reunion and we will post it here.

Hosted by the Schaller-Crestland Class of 1992.
Proceeds are used to fund a scholarship in T.J. and Lisa's name.

The event was organized in 2005 by T.J.'s classmates to celebrate his enjoyment of the game, his love of life, and his lasting effect on the lives of so many.

The tournament will be held every year to allow as many of T.J. and Lisa's friends and
family members as possible the opportunity to participate.

Crossroads Days

The town of Early is fortunate to have dedicated people who are willing to provide fun-filled activities every year to bring together those who have moved away with those who live in and around Early.

The school reunions have become an important part of the Crossroads Day weekend and gives everyone a chance to renew old friendships and to make new acquaintances. Early current and former residents have pride in the quality of life they were given in small-town USA away from the large apartment buildings of the city. This celebration gives everyone a chance to renew that pride while rubbing elbows with those that made the good life a reality.
